Celebrating 50 years of Title IX
There's a law in the United States that ensures every girl’s right to play any sport they want to. It bans gender discrimination in school sports since 1972. The law is called Title IX, and it changed women’s sports forever.

Getty Images has the largest collection documenting the historical evolution of women's sports over those 50 years, and we wanted to use it to pay tribute to the women who fought for Title IX.
Idea
We launched "For the right to", a campaign in which women demand rights that nobody would ever think to ask for, but they needed to. Why would somebody demand the right to fall or to lose, for example? For a simple reason: because no sport hurts more than not playing sports.
